Oksana Popchepa Claims That She's Mel Gibson's Lover

How sweet. This is Oksana Popchepa, the 34-year-old pretty young thing who's affair with Mel Gibson put an end to his marriage, even though it was probably a long time coming. She revealed to The Sun that she was the woman snapped frolicking in the surf with Mel earlier this year. "This is serious and I hope that our union will be real and strong and long-lasting," she told the paper Tuesday.

So I guess she's not too bright.

Us Weekly reports in its latest issue (on newsstands today) that the two met last August when Pochepa was hired to compose a song for Gibson's upcoming thriller Edge of Darkness.

A source on the Massachusetts set tells Us that the pair - who would spend entire days alone together in his trailer - always tried to be discreet about their relationship.

And look what that got them. This is only going to get better!
