Sorry Madisonville, Texas, and Menlo Park, Calif., but Axl Rose may not be appearing in your towns anytime soon. The Guns N' Roses singer refuses to play in towns beginning with "M" because he believes the letter is cursed, according to the Britain's The Express newspaper.

The late Beatles legend John Lennon, who was born Oct. 9, 1940, thought the number nine affected every aspect of his career. The Beatles' song "Revolution No. 9" and his solo recording of "Number 9 Dream" showed the singers preoccupation with the number and its metaphysical quality. His son, Sean Lennon, was also born Oct. 9.
