Taylor Hicks Sings For American Idol

First, our congradulations goes to those who made it to American Idol top 4 list this evening. Few very interesting things happened during the American Idol April 29, 2009. American Idol season 5 winner Taylor Hicks returned to the idol stage to sing his latest single “Seven Mile Breakdown.”
Adam is in the bottom 3 of Idol This Week on April 29. This was the evening when American Idol when from top 5 to top 4.
The biggest shock of the night as American Idol dwindled its numbers to four was not who got sent home, but who was in the Bottom 3. At this point, at least one person had to grace the stools for the first time, but this week we got two newbies.
In the end though, it was Matt who was sent home, as expected. It was only two weeks ago, Matt was in this same spot and was spared by the judge’s save. I don’t think anyone expected him to win after that, but at least we got to hear him perform a couple more times.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg today set a preliminary hearing for May 28 on Brown's double felony case--the result of Geragos pushing for as late a court date as possible to allow him adequate time to respond to the still-pending investigation into just how Rihanna's police photo was released.
Should the gruesome photos' appearance prove to be the result of a police transgression, Geragos told E! News that he will move to have Brown's entire case dismissed.
"The leaks can form the basis for a motion to dismiss the case in regards to outrageous governmental misconduct," Geragos said.
"Your honor, clearly my client beat the living shit out of his girlfriend, but since the police leaked photograph evidence of said beating to the media, we're asking you to let him back on the streets with no punishment whatsoever. Then we're going to sue the cops so he can buy a Lamborghini made entirely out of Toaster Strudels and Faberge eggs." Only in America. Hurray!

Britney gets restraining order for Lutfi and Lawyer

Britney has been the center of a tense power-struggle recently, but now the poor girl can get peace – Late yesterday, LA Superior Court Judge, Aviva Bobb, slapped Sam Lutfi with a withering restraining order that’s good for three years.
Sam and fellow Britney associate, Jon Eardley, a Lawyer who has almost made a career out of testing Daddy Spears’ custodial claims, must now stay at least 100-yards away from the star and her children at all times, and make no attempt to contact her by mail, email or phone.
Brit’s dad, Jamie Spears, applied for the order on January 30th, alleging both men had ‘harassed’ his daughter in various ways, including smuggling a cellphone to her at a hotel so she could make contact with Lutfi behind Daddy’s back.
Mr. Lutfi has already sworn to fight back; Bryan Freedman, his attorney, told reporters; “We will absolutely appeal this ruling. Never before has a restraining order been issued against someone who answered another’s cries for help.”
Sam has a right to appeal, but it could be an uphill task – The order was only issued after numerous hearings in which a positive swarm of Brit’s closest people testified the young starlet was frightened of Lutfi and needed protection. Sam’s chief supporter, his sister Christina, told the court it was Brit who conceived the plan with the cellphone, as she wanted Sam’s help to break out of her father’s relentless control.
Mr. Lutfi, 35, currently has a lawsuit pending against the Spears family for defamation and battery, which may not help his case. And last week, a lawyer appointed by the Court to act on poor Brit’s behalf told the Judge that his client was doing better without Sam around,”The orders against Lutfi are in my client’s best interest. She has suffered emotional distress.” he explained.

Dog Dodges Bullets, Collars Criminal

A fugitive is in custody and facing new charges after allegedly taking a shot at bounty hunter extraordinaire Duane "Dog" Chapman and a bail bondsman last night in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Police say that about 7:15 p.m., Hoang Nguyen, a 35-year-old on the lam for attempted murder, fired at least one shot from a handgun at the reality star and his associate, Bobby Brown (unfortunately not the R&B star), as the two were closing in on Nguyen at an apartment complex. He then fled on a motorcycle.
Neither bounty hunter was hurt. And while Chapman's camera team was on scene filming scenes for A&E's Dog the Bounty Hunter, a crew member told officers they failed to get the gunfight on tape. Nguyen remained at large with a pair of warrants out for his arrest unti 1 a.m., when Dog tracked down Nguyen and collared him without further incident, per the Colorado Springs Gazette.
Aside from rounding up bad guys, Chapman is furthering his reality-TV career as one of the contesants on NBC's upcoming Survivor-style series, I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, which will film in Costa Rica and air this summer.

No Testifying in Britney's Future; Other Side Says She's "Crying Out for Help"

The pop star will not be required to take the stand in her conservatorship's ongoing quest to obtain permanent restraining orders against her former manager, Sam Lutfi; attorney Jon Eardley; and her ex-beau, Adnan Ghalib.
"There was a finding of a judge of the Superior Court that she lacks the capacity to testify," Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Akiva Bobb said after hearing closing arguments Tuesday, upholding a 14-month-old ruling that Spears isn't mentally fit to make her own legal decisions.
The temporary restraining orders against all three men were extended until April 28, when the judge will hear rebuttal arguments before making a final decision.
Eardley's attorney, Roger Diamond, filed a motion April 10 to compel Spears to testify before closing arguments were made, but there was no sign of her at the courthouse today. In his remarks today, Diamond argued that Spears wanted Eardley—who is said to have collaborated with Lutfi last year to help Spears fight what was then a brand-new conservatorship—to help extricate her from father Jamie's control.
"Britney Spears is crying out for help," Diamond said.
Lutfi attorney Bryan Freedman, taking a somewhat less contentious approach, said that there was "a lack of evidence as to emotional distress" to Britney perpetrated by his client.
Whatever, the Spears' legal camp said, calling the two men "predators."

No evidence Rubina Ali’s father tried to sell her, say police

After interrogating the father of “Slumdog Millionaire” star Rubina Ali, the Indian police could find no evidence to prove Rafiq Qureshi tried to sell his daughter for $300,000. Rubina’s mother Khurshida, who abandoned the family in 2001 (and conveniently reappeared after her daughter’s movie success), claimed she learned of the sale two weeks ago and tipped off police.
A senior police officer in India told Reuters, “So far there is no evidence of any offense, hence there is no registration of complaint and no arrest.”
Qureshi continues to deny the claims. He told People.com the story was a “lie made up by foreign journalists playing games with me”. It hasn’t stopped the movie producers from stepping in with a social worker to look after Rubina and set up the Jai Ho Trust to help care for its young stars living in the Mumbai slums.

1. If PETA truly cares about animals, why aren't they armed to the teeth and pulling that Chihuahua out of Paris' house? I mean, Michael Vick gets jail time yet this chick visibly commits animal abuse in an international ad campaign. Where's the justice?
2. Are my eyes deceiving me or did they seriously airbrush thighs onto Paris to make her look heavier? I can understand cropping out the tentacles, but it's pretty much a scientific fact she has the legs of a flamingo. No, really, I tried to stick her in my yard once. Totally killed my lawn. NOTE: I tossed in some old shots from Guess to round out the pics. Feel free to point that out as much as possible.

“On my way to workout with my trainer,” she wrote on her Twitter page Monday. “Every time we have to do squats, and he yells at me, ‘Get lower like you’re in the club!’”
I don’t squat in the club unless I am peeing!” She’s working with her longtime trainer Mike Alexander. He told Fox News last month that the coverage didn’t both Simpson at all.
“The whole thing wasn’t as traumatic for Jessica as everyone made it out to be,” he said. “She’s a confident and naturally beautiful girl who works hard.”
