Holly Madison: Done with Playboy

Celebrities: ,

Last year she broke up with Hugh Hefner, and now Holly Madison has decided that she’s done with the Playboy gig altogether.
Miss Madison had been serving as the Playmate Editor of Playboy magazine along with her “Girls Next Door” gig, but now she’s moving on to greener pastures as she explores the next phase of her life.

She blogged, “I quit for several reasons- One: I moved to Vegas, and that job doesn’t pay enough to make a commute worthwhile. I never cared about the salary when I got the job. I made my money doing Girls Next Door, and I did the job because I loved it.”
Holly continued, “It got to be routine, which was sad for me, since I was initially so passionate about the job and the creative aspects involved,” adding that working with Hef “was awkward. Not that anyone tried to make it awkward or didn’t treat me fairly...it just was.”
She added, “It annoys me when people call the job fake, as if it was just a set up for the show. If I had wanted a fake career for Girls Next Door, I would have stuck with the jewelry line because that required very little of my time. I spent way more than full time directing shoots, editing, making mock layouts and approving retouching.”
“So as you can imagine, when one is trying to move on with their life, it isn’t beneficial to spend so much time on something that doesn’t pay much and, sadly enough, is no longer rewarding to you.
“But I loved my job while I had it, appreciate the opportunity and the experience greatly, and wish whoever takes my place the best. Love-Holly.”

Report: Private Jet Company Charged With Endangering Celebrity Clients for Cheap Fuel

Celebrities: ,

Five executives and a pilot from a private jet company have been indicted on federal charges including the reckless endangerment of their passengers for allegedly over-fueling charter planes, ABC News reported.

Platinum Jet Management of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., has served clients like Beyonce Knowles, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z and Harvey Weinstein, and charges charter fees of up to $90,000 at a time, according to ABC News.
The indictment, issued in New Jersey, alleges the executives and the pilot endangered passengers’ lives by over-fueling planes in places with low fuel costs and attempting to take off despite exceeding "maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights," the network reported.
ABC News noted that the indictment claimed this practice resulted in a February 2, 2005, crash at New Jersey's Teterboro Airport that sent a Bombardier Challenger jet skidding off a runway, across a highway and into a warehouse, where it burst into flames, injuring 20.
Those charged include the company's CEO, co-founder and chief pilot Michael Brassington, and his brother, VP and co-founder Paul Brassington. The pilot of the Bombardier Challenger was still being sought.

Kelly Clarkson: I Could Never Be a Lesbian

Celebrities:

Kelly Clarkson has already made 2009 the year of her comeback, and now she is ready to set the sexuality record straight: She is not a lesbian.

According to an interview with AOL’s PopEater.com, Clarkson’s fans always seem to latch on to the rumor that she is gay.
“I get that all the time. People are like ‘Are you secretly a lesbian? Because I’d really love it.’ Lesbians tell it to me all the time,” Clarkson told PopEater.

“I’m like, ‘I’m glad it works for you and I wish I liked women like that because oftentimes men are very hard for me, but I happen to like boys.’ I could never be a lesbian. I would never want to date someone like myself, ever.”
Still, Clarkson says she doesn’t care if you’re “black, white, yellow, gay, straight, crazy, whatever.” For her, “as long as you’re cool and you like the music and you’re coming out to have a good time at the shows, I don’t really care.”
And with her hot new single “My Life Would Suck Without You” shattering records with the largest jump to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and a sexy video to boot, the former American Idol can expect many more fans from all walks.
But don't expect Kelly to become a diva. She seems far from it in fact, as she dished on keeping in contact with her former Idol pals like Clay Aiken, who recently came out of the closet.
“I honestly don’t care if he is gay or isn’t gay, and I don’t care if he tells people or doesn’t tell people. I’m not friends with him for either of those reasons,” Clarkson said.

Christian Bale released on bail

Celebrities:

Batman star Christian Bale was freed tonight after being held for more than four hours by police investigating claims of assault.
Scotland Yard said the British Hollywood star was released on bail to a date in September pending further inquiries.

The 34-year-old actor was arrested at Belgravia police station, in central London, earlier today after attending by appointment.
Bale was spirited away from the station in a silver Mercedes people carrier at about 4.20pm.

A steadily growing pack of photographers, cameramen and reporters had been waiting outside since his arrival shortly before noon.
Officers are investigating claims that Bale lashed out at his mother and sister in his suite at Park Lane's Dorchester Hotel on Sunday.
His sister Sharon, 40, shouted "it's a family matter" through a window when approached by reporters at her home in Corfe Mullen, near Wimborne, Dorset.
A man who answered the door at the home of his mother Jenny, 61, in Bournemouth, said she did not want to comment.
Bale was arrested hours after he attended the first European screening of the new Batman blockbuster, The Dark Knight.
Accompanied by his wife, Sibi, the actor joined co-stars Sir Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Aaron Eckhart at the Odeon West End cinema in Leicester Square.
It is understood officers approached Bale's representatives and agreed to speak to the actor about the claims after the high-profile premiere.
The two women went to a Hampshire police station yesterday to make a formal allegation.
The complaint about the actor was then passed to the Metropolitan Police for further investigation.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman confirmed a 34-year-old was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault.
She said: "A man has been bailed to return on a date in September pending further inquiries."
The allegations are not the first controversy to surround the film, which enjoyed record box office sales in its first weekend in the United States.
In January, 28-year-old Heath Ledger, who gave an Oscar-tipped performance as villain The Joker, died from an accidental drugs overdose.
Bale, a keen environmental activist and martial arts enthusiast, also starred in American Psycho, Empire Of The Sun and Batman Begins.
Neither of Bale's agents in the United States could be contacted for comment.
